Commissioned by RTL Systems, the FleetWise website is a complete reporting and monitoring web application for any company managing a fleet of vehicles.

Based on a desktop application of the same name, the idea for the FleetWise website was conceived by RTL as a means for fleet managers to view the current position, historic movements and a slew of reports relating to the vehicles under their control from wherever they happened to be.

Designed around a hefty SQL Server 2005 database logging thousands of movements a day, the FleetWise website offers users a simple interface powered by ASP and the .NET Framework 2.0.

FleetWise draws on existing data sources such as the Microsoft MapPoint.NET web service for its graphical map displays (upon which vehicle positions are superimposed) and to provide meaningful location names rather than obscure co-ordinates on text-based reports.

The system is currently in use by some of the main players in the petroleum industry.
